Pocmont Resort is proud to Host the 2nd Annual Lucy Stanovick "Party 4 Life" - A fundraiser for Metastatic Breast Cancer (all proceeds go to the National Foundation for Cancer Research (NFCR). 
WHO'S LUCY STANOVICK?
"I was diagnosed with Stage IV Metastatic Breast Cancer (MBC) on April 1, 2008, at the age of 42. There is no cure for this late stage. Metastatic means that the cancer has spread beyond its origination. For me, it has spread to my bones and lining of my lung. Because my cancer is estrogen/progesterone positive, I am doing hormonal treatment s for as long as I can before I begin chemotherapy. Currently, I am doing very well.
I started Party 4 Life in 2008 because I wanted to be around friends and family; I wanted people to see I was still me. Last year we held it at the Jaycees Park in the West End and raised over $1,300 for Relay for Life. This year, I want to raise money for MBC because when I was first diagnosed, I had a hard time finding myself in any of the literature; it was as if Stage IV was a lost cause. That scared me. It is my hope that this MBC fundraiser will increase awareness about all breast cancers."
